President Barack Obama sent out the most adorable birthday tweet to First Lady Michelle Obama
WITH a single birthday post, President Barack Obama has perfectly encapsulated his relationship with the First Lady.
CAN we all take a quick moment to reflect on how adorable the Obamas are?
President Barack Obama has wished his wife Michelle a happy 53rd birthday, as they prepare to bid the White House farewell.
He posted a tweet commemorating the event — his last ever “birthday post” as President of the United States.
To the girl from the South Side who took on a role she didn't ask for and made it her own: Happy Birthday, Michelle. I love you. pic.twitter.com/lvjfx418hn

The tweet features a behind-the-scenes image of the pair sitting on the back of a golf cart while dressed for the Inaugural Ball held in Washington DC on January 20, 2009.
The photo, taken by White House photographer Pete Souza, basically encapsulates the pair’s solid relationship.
Mr Obama’s “South Side” comment refers to the South Side of Chicago, where the First Lady grew up.
The tweet mirrors the outgoing leader’s farewell address last week, in which he expressed his admiration for his wife.
“Michelle — for the past 25 years, you’ve been not only my wife and mother of my children, but my best friend,” he said.
“You took on a role you didn’t ask for and made it your own with grace and grit and style and good humour. You made the White House a place that belongs to everybody. And a new generation sets its sights higher because it has you as a role model. You’ve made me proud. You’ve made the country proud.”
Ms Obama may be the only US political figure to appear more likeable now than when she first emerged on the scene.
A WSJ/NBC poll conducted in October found Americans look more favourably upon the First Lady than any major politician in the country right now.
There have been growing calls for Ms Obama to run for President over the past year, but as you can even see from the wording of the President’s birthday tweet, this is highly unlikely.
She’s been well-documented as a “reluctant” First Lady who isn’t terribly fond of American politics, although the couple said they will miss the White House.
In three days, the Obamas will officially hand their official duties over to Donald and Melania Trump.
