Caught on camera: Woman steals $5000 wedding dress and does a runner

IT'S the bridal waltz out of the store with the dress you haven't paid for as woman steals $5000 wedding gown and marches down street with child in tow.

POLICE will be on the look out at churches around New Jersey over coming weeks after a woman was filmed stealing a $5000 wedding dress from a bridal boutique.

Authorities have released security camera video showing the woman, dressed in a red or pink dress, walking down South Avenue in Fanwood, New Jersey, after walking out of Seng Couture women's clothing store, carrying a $5000 gown.

The video shows the woman, aged in her 30s and with brown hair,  carrying the bulky dress, which is wrapped in a clear garment bag, and trailed by a little girl.

Although it is not clear if the girl was with the woman, the woman appears to talk over her shoulder to the child, who then  appears to try to catch up to the woman who is walking ahead of her.
