Kylie Jenner might just be doing the most relatable thing ever

Kylie Jenner has been spotted at the Tennis with Timothee Chalamet and the photos reveal a wild reality that we can’t ignore.

Kylie Jenner feigning interest in the tennis was not on my 2023 Bingo card, but it is the most relatable thing she’s ever done.

The billionaire, reality television star and professional pouter was spotted at the US Open alongside her new actor beau Timothee Chalamet.

There was some nuzzling, head scratching and cuddling as they watched the men’s final, and they both were looking very Gen Z chic.

Well, Timothee watched the game while it looked like Kylie was desperately trying to learn the game.

Kylie was wearing a black top and oversized sunglasses, and Timothee was embracing the trend of wearing multiple head coverings and had popped on a hoodie over his cap.

She looked like a high-powered Hollywood agent, and he seemed like he’d been very heavy-handed with the Lynx Africa body spray.

I have never seen Kylie at the tennis, and I don’t think it is a coincidence she’s started going now she’s boarded the Chalamet love train.

Kylie’s clearly doing her best, Meryl Streep-level acting to look like she knows what is happening, but it wasn’t easy. Clips show her reacting seconds after everyone else, whatever happens in the match.

Sometimes, you can fake it and sadly still not make it.

In fairness to Kylie, the tennis match was clearly being upstaged by Laverne Cox’s perfect ponytail.

How can she concentrate on Novak Djokovic’s tennis with that thing in her face? It’d be hard to restrain yourself from asking Laverne for hair tips.

I think this is charmingly relatable from Kylie because we’ve all pretended to be interested in something we aren’t at the beginning of a relationship.

Kylie’s also in unfamiliar territory. She’s used to dating rappers and being spotted courtside at the basketball and packed festivals.

She’s now dating a ratty arthouse boy from New York, and his interests are way more niche than what she is used to.

We’ve all been Kylie.

We’ve all pretended to like movies we don’t understand or be invested in hobbies that make no sense or suddenly have heaps of opinions on architecture because of some man we are seeing.

It’s not a bald-faced lie, but a white one that we think makes ourselves seem more appealing at the beginning of a romance.

You know … when you are ignorant to each other’s credit score.

Maybe you’ve said you are a morning person because you want to come across like a proactive Lara Bingle and not reveal that you’re more of an Oscar the Grouch type who likes to sleep in until 10am.

Perhaps you’ve said you really enjoy arty films that heavily feature long-held silences and darkly-shot scenes, when the reality is you love a movie with a big budget, a paper-thin plot line and a white man that still gets to position himself as the underdog in society.

Look, for all we know, Kylie is a long-term tennis fan, and this is just the first moment we’ve got to see her embrace it in public.

But I reckon the better bet is that she’s got a new beau, and she’s trying to act like a cool girl that loves a bit of tennis and if so, well, Kylie, I get it.

I’ve been there too and I’ve sat through the rugby game to prove it.
