Kylie Jenner has been accused of stealing another star’s style

Kylie Jenner’s being called out by fans for her new transformation and people are even accusing her of copying another star.

Kylie Jenner’s style is completely changing, and the internet is convinced she’s copying model Sofia Richie’s fashion.

If there’s one thing Kylie, 25, is known for, it is her super-sexy style and it looks like she might be ditching it.

Traditionally, when it comes to fashion, the reality star likes see-through, cut-outs, short hemlines and anything where plenty of skin is on display.

She pouts, contorts her body and thrusts her cleavage when she takes selfies. She has over 300 million followers on Instagram and she amassed them by being unapologetically sexy, pouty and constantly linked to famous and controversial rappers.

Hypersexualised would be a phrase used to describe the style, look and image that Kylie has carefully curated.

It was a vibe that served her up on a platter to young women who eagerly attempted to copy her look.

Crop tops, short shorts, tiny sunglasses were all helped to be made cool by the power that is Kylie.

It wasn’t a chic look but it was a very sexy and popular one.

Now, her look is changing.

She’s ditched low-cut for high-cut necklines, and the internet is quickly accusing her of ripping off Sofia’s low-key style.

When Kylie posted a photo of herself in a high-neck flowy white dress on Instagram, the post was flooded with the comparison.

“Copying Sophia Richie these days….” someone wrote.

“It is giving Sophia,” another commented.

“Richie vibes,” someone pointed out.

Kylie, one of the most influential women in the world, was accused of copying someone way less famous then her.

So who is Sofia?

Well, she has 10 million Instagram followers and she is Lionel Richie’s youngest daughter, and the sister of reality star Nicole Richie.

She grew up among Kylie and a gaggle of other nepotism babies and has dated everyone from Kourtney Kardashian’s ex Scott Disick to Justin Bieber.

Sofia, 24, only really had her moment, though, this year.

Previously she was overshadowed by Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner and yes, Kylie Jenner but now it is her time and she’s come in hot.

Firstly she married the offline Elliot Grainge, who owns the record label 10K Projects and is the son of Universal Music Group chairman-CEO Lucian Grainge.

Secondly Sofia went from dressing, well, a lot like Kylie. So, short skirts, belly shirts, and constant bikini snaps to dressing more like Audrey Hepburn.

Let’s just say that bold eye make-up was her friend during her Kylie era.

This year Sofia ditched oversized belts and pouty bikini snaps and was suddenly spotted in matching Chanel two piece sets.

It was like she went from looking like a MAFS contestant to being a glam version of Gina Rinehart.

The style has been dubbed ‘quiet luxury’. Think lots of timeless cuts, and high-end brands like Chanel.

No flashy labels or logos but rather quality fabrics and well-tailored fashion moments. Less skin, more chic.

As a result Richie has become an ‘it’ girl and is now an online obsession of young women, who are constantly trying to copy her style on a budget … and Kylie has become one of them.

Kylie, of course, doesn’t need to worry about the budget part but she has adopted a more toned-down look since Sofia’s risen in the fashion ranks.

Fans, of course, are comparing the two women and are accusing Kylie of sensing a cultural change and changing her style to make sure she stays relevant.

Famous women changing their look is nothing new.

Taylor Swift ditched the curly hair and princess dresses for a sleek bob and catsuit. Miley Cyrus cut off her flows long locks and ditched her white jeans with a funky top look for a blonde pixie cut and leotards.

Women in the public eye are constantly evolving because they have too and Kylie’s shift in fashion just proves that even the most powerful women can’t rest on their laurels.

Is she copying Sofia?

Well, who knows! But there’s no way that Kylie’s ditched her style without a solid reason – a woman never rebrands without a plan and surely she’s noticed that Sofia’s is working.
