Michael Clarke’s desperate late-night calls to ‘embarrassed’ Jade Yarbrough

Michael Clarke was on the phone until the early hours of Thursday morning as Jade Yarbrough bunkers down with her sister.

Jade Yarbrough has hunkered down with her sister Jasmine after her “embarrassing” fracas with her boyfriend Michael Clarke came to light.

Jade, 30, has not been seen since video, published by the Daily Telegraph, emerged on Wednesday showing her in a furious spat with Clarke, who she accused of cheating on her with his ex-girlfriend Pip Edwards.

The clip shows Jade slapping Clarke as she screams at him, calling him a “f***ing dog”, while Karl Stefanovic and his wife Jasmine try to intervene.

Friends of Jade told the Daily Telegraph that she is “distraught and embarrassed” by the video.

Meanwhile Clarke has been trying to salvage his relationship, reportedly spending time on the phone with Jade into the early hours of Thursday morning.

The fight began when Clarke and Jade were joined for dinner in Noosa on January 10 by Karl Stefanovic and his wife Jasmine, who is Jade’s sister, as well as celebrity accountant Anthony Bell.

It’s understood Clarke’s celebrity fashion designer ex-girlfriend Pip Edwards and Jade had been in contact, sparking the confrontation between Clarke and Jade.

The footage shows a shirtless Clarke limping in a park surrounded by a group who are trying to calm the situation, while a furious Jade screams at him then slaps him across the face.

“You f**ked her on December 17 … You f**ked her, you’re a f**king dog,” Jade screams.

Clarke responds: “Baby you’re wrong, you’re wrong.”

Michael Clarke is trying to salvage his relationship with Jade, who has bunkered down with her sister, Jasmine.

The screaming match took place in front of multiple people in a park, about 9.30pm, and was so confronting that an onlooker could be heard yelling “there’s children over there” as they encouraged the group to take the fight elsewhere.

The bystander who filmed the fight said he was first alerted to the drama when he spotted Clarke and Stefanovic in a heated exchange.

Queensland Police are now investigating the incident and no charges have been laid.

“Queensland Police are investigating an incident between a 30-year-old woman and 41-year-old man depicted in footage at Lions Park on Gympie Terrace in Noosaville earlier this month,” police said on Thursday evening.

“As this matter on January 10, 2023 is under investigation, the Queensland Police Service is unable to provide any further comment.”

Clarke is 41 years old and Jade Yarbrough, is 30. News.com.au has contacted both of them for comment.

Stefanovic has also been quizzed about the clash.

On Thursday, before the police statement, Stefanovic was asked about the video as he attended drinks at the Australian Open, where he is working for Channel 9.

“You know what the answer is going to be,” he replied, when asked about the incident, according to the Herald Sun.

Stefanovic did not mention the confrontation with Clarke on the Today show on Thursday either.

But he was quizzed about the incident once again after being spotted by photographers at Sydney Airport.

He refused to comment as he was peppered with questions about whether he had spoken to Clarke, or whether he would be allowed at his holiday home in Noosa again.

One question did elicit a response, of sorts, from Stefanovic, however.

One paparazzo asked: “Can we organise a boxing match? A celebrity boxing match?”

Stefanovic smirked, but did not reply.

Clarke and Yarbrough first went Instagram official in August and were seen together in paparazzi photos in September out the front of Stefanovic’s house.

Jasmine is married to the Today star.

Clarke, the cricket TV commentator-turned breakfast radio host was reportedly introduced to Yarbrough through Stefanovic.

Their relationship came eight months after Clarke’s brief romance with Edwards, whom he dated after splitting from wife Kyly.
