Karl Stefanovic has responded after he was seen getting involved in a fracas with Michael Clarke and the cricket legend’s girlfriend Jade Yarbrough.

Karl Stefanovic has responded after he was seen getting involved in a fracas with Michael Clarke and the cricket legend’s girlfriend Jade Yarbrough.

The clash, which was filmed by a bystander in Noosa on January 10, saw two of Australia’s most high profile celebrities and their partners in a public blow-up. The footage was initially published by The Daily Telegraph.

Queensland Police are now investigating the incident and no charges have been laid.

Earlier on Thursday, before the police statement, Stefanovic was asked about the video as he attended drinks at the Australian Open, where he is working for Channel 9.

“You know what the answer is going to be,” he replied, when asked about the incident, according to the Herald Sun.

Stefanovic did not mention the confrontation with Clarke on the Today show on Thursday either.

But he was quizzed about the incident once again after being spotted by photographers at Sydney Airport.

He refused to comment as he was peppered with questions about whether he had spoken to Clarke, or whether he would be allowed at his holiday home in Noosa again.

One question did elicit a response, of sorts, from Stefanovic, however.

One paparazzo asked: “Can we organise a boxing match? A celebrity boxing match?”

Stefanovic smirked, but did not reply.

The fight began when the two high-profile couples and their celebrity accountant mate Anthony Bell were at dinner at a beachside restaurant.

It’s understood Clarke’s celebrity fashion designer ex-girlfriend Pip Edwards and Jade had been in contact, sparking the confrontation between Clarke and Jade.

The footage shows a shirtless Clarke limping in a park surrounded by a group who are trying to calm the situation, while a furious Jade screams at him then slaps him across the face.

“You f**ked her on December 17 … You f**ked her, you’re a f**king dog,” Jade screams.

Clarke responds: “Baby you’re wrong, you’re wrong.”

The screaming match took place in front of multiple people in a park, about 9.30pm, and was so confronting that an onlooker could be heard yelling “there’s children over there” as they encouraged the group to take the fight elsewhere.

The bystander who filmed the fight said he was first alerted to the drama when he spotted Clarke and Stefanovic in a heated exchange.

Queensland Police issued a statement on the incident on Thursday afternoon.

“Queensland Police are investigating an incident between a 30-year-old woman and 41-year-old man depicted in footage at Lions Park on Gympie Terrace in Noosaville earlier this month,” police said on Thursday evening.

“As this matter on January 10, 2023 is under investigation, the Queensland Police Service is unable to provide any further comment.”

Clarke is 41 years old and Jade Yarbrough, is 30. News.com.au has contacted both of them for comment.

Clarke and Yarbrough first went Instagram official in August and were seen together in paparazzi photos in September out the front of Stefanovic’s house.

Jasmine is married to the Today star.

Clarke, the cricket TV commentator-turned breakfast radio host was reportedly introduced to Yarbrough through Stefanovic.

Their relationship came eight months after Clarke’s brief romance with Edwards, whom he dated after splitting from wife Kyly.
