Sam Burgess ‘hooks up’ with dating guru Jana Hocking
After his court appearance over the alleged dispute with his former father-in-law, Sam Burgess was seen in a “make-out sesh” with Jana Hocking.
Sam Burgess was spotted on a night out with a popular dating guru just hours after he faced court over an argument with his former father-in-law.
The former footy star appeared at Moss Vale Local Court on Friday to fight a charge of intimidation over the 2019 quarrel with Mitchell Hooke which broke out over a disagreement about his and his ex-wife Phoebe Burgess’s kids.
Hours later Mr Burgess was at Chester White, a bar in Sydney’s Potts Point, with his lawyer Bryan Wrench where he was photographed with news.com.au’s dating expert Jana Hocking.
Photos show the pair engaged in conversation inside the restaurant before appearing to leave together, with reports claiming they “hooked up”.

The pair shared “a very public make-out sesh as fellow diners watched on”, according to Sydney Confidential – something Ms Hocking remained tight-lipped about when contacted by news.com.au.
“I’m actively dating and making the most of a summer out of lockdown,” she said.
On her Instagram Stories, Ms Hocking shared an empowering message on Sunday, hinting at the rumours swirling her encounter with the former South Sydney Rabbitohs player.
Using a Brigitte Bardot quote from the 1958 classic, Love Is My Profession, she posted a black and white still that read: “I’m a girl. I should do as I like.”
The 36-year-old recently shared the jaw-dropping age a numerologist believed she would meet her future husband, writing she was furious the expert predicted it wouldn’t happen until she turned 45.
“I got angry! Like really angry,” she said.
“I demanded to know how the heck he could know such a thing? Does he go around upsetting people for fun?
“Who was he tell me when I would settle down? Does he take pleasure in preying on vulnerable women who are craving an answer after years of ridiculous dating.”
Ms Hocking has also discussed the benefits of dating a divorcee, writing she “highly recommends it” as it proves they’re not afraid of commitment.
Mr Burgess was married to former magazine journalist Phoebe for four years, but split in 2019 after being involved in a high-profile sexting scandal.
They share two children together, Poppy, 4, and Billy, 2.
