A cheating boyfriend’s “predatory” double life was exposed when he sent identical cards to his two girlfriends.

Catherine Garrod, 38, from the UK, told how her “charming and attentive” ex strung her along for three-and-a-half years before his other girlfriend finally got in touch, The Sun reports.

The other woman found a WhatsApp message from Ms Garrod on his phone and tracked her down via Facebook.

The pair joined forces after realising they had both been fed the same lies by the same man, even being sent identical heartfelt cards at Christmas.

“When she found me she assumed I was the affair. But when she went through my Facebook profile she realised we had been together for a long time,” Ms Garrod told Metro.co.uk

“She then sent me photos of cards he had written telling her how much he loved her, almost to try and justify that she didn’t know about me.

“I think she thought I was the primary girlfriend and she was the affair, but I said, ‘I don’t see it like that, I think we’ve both been completely f***ed over’.

“He was great at writing cards. He was very heartfelt on anniversaries, on birthdays and at Christmas.”

The pair then drove to his mum and dad’s house to confront his family — only to discover they knew about his secret double life.

She added: “I hadn’t seen his parents for quite a while. I lived 45 minutes away, while the other woman lived around the corner.

“I just don’t understand where their morals were. These are the people I thought were nice.”

The pair eventually reported him to police but were told their ordeal did not meet the threshold for coercive control.

Ms Garrod has since launched a petition to define “leading a double life” as domestic abuse.
