Abbie Chatfield has shared details about the first time she had sex with her famous boyfriend, reavling it was just “fine”.

The influencer and podcast host, 28, has finally confirmed she is dating Adam Hyde, who is in the band Peking Duk.

The pair spoke about their long-rumoured romance on her podcast It’s A Lot with Abbie Chatfield this week

The interview comes as the pair return from a trip overseas. Hyde has been working in LA on his new Keli Holiday record.

They spoke about their first date and revealed they are “so in love”.

The pair met in 2022 when Chatfield interviewed Hyde for her radio show.

But it took almost a year before they got together.

“We’d see each other and we’d make out and we’d not talk afterwards,” Chatfield said.

“It never lined up because it was never opened up to that,” Hyde said.

“We’d go on a couple dates...it’s just funny that now that we’re here and how we’ve ended up here.”

Despite hanging out on and off, it took months before they finally had sex.

Chatfield revealed she was scared to take that step as she didn’t know what could happen emotionally.

She said when they finally had sex it was “fine”.

“We’d been out at an event...and then we went home and I was like ‘I’ve got to have sex with him’.”

She said the sex was “nothing crazy”.

Chatfield said their relationship changed when she went to his gig in Brisbane weeks later.

Hyde said he felt something had changed between the pair before the gig as he was excited to see her.

“I mean everything kind of changed in that next day and night,” he said.

“Yeah, we sat by the pool and drank margaritas, and then the sex went crazy,” Chatfield said.

Hyde clarified it wasn’t about the sex but they were clearly more comfortable with each other.

Their relationship blossomed, and the pair then found themselves falling in love.

“Something just came crashing over my head like a wave of just like falling in love is insane,” Hyde said.

“It just grabbed me and like it felt incredible.”

“You make me feel so safe and so calm all the time,” Chatfield said.

“Everything was so good. Everything was so perfect.”

They teased their relationship with fans when they attended the Grand Prix in March with an Instagram post featuring her dancing with Hyde, with the caption reading “Fun Grand Prix w FRIENDS”.

Chatfield revealed during their Melbourne trip she penned Hyde a five-page letter where she opened up about her feelings.

“A letter like saying all the things I love about you and why I love them about you,” she said.

“And also, how you changed me as a person.

“And even if you know we stop seeing each other the next day I would have taken those lessons about what I’m worth and how I should be treated.”

After he received the letter the pair became official but it took a while before they said I love you.

“I knew I felt but I was like I need to know if it’s fully real,” he said.

“I was scared to love again.”

He said he was now “fearlessly open to everything”.

“Not only are we so in love, but we also have really healthy relationship,” Chatfield said.
