Woman suddenly drops dead while working out at gym

Shocking footage has emerged of the moment a young woman suddenly died at the gym while working out.

The 28-year-old, who was identified as Betsy Dayana Jaramillo Ramírez, is believed to have suffered a heart attack at Zona Muscular gym in Ecuador on November 29.

Ramírez was captured on the gym’s CCTV doing squats and weightlifting when she suddenly stopped and fell forward, falling on the floor, the New York Post reports.

Other gym-goers rushed to help, sitting her in the recovery position while continuously checking her pulse until paramedics arrived.

Despite their efforts, Ms Ramírez was pronounced her dead upon arrival at hospital.

Horrifying footage of the moment was later shared on Twitter by The Mexico Post.

Police and doctors have yet to issue a cause of death, however, it is believed that Ms Ramírez suffered a heart attack.

Family members have said the young woman regularly frequented the gym where she collapsed.

Earlier this year a woman was killed instantly after dropping a 180kg weight at a gym in Mexico.

The Mexican woman, who was not been named, was reportedly exercising with her daughter when the tragic incident occurred.

The horror accident was captured on the gym’s CCTV footage and shows others immediately rushing to help the woman.
