Woman gets awesome reply after note to neighbour about loud sex
A woman became so fed up with her neighbours’ noises for four days straight, she decided to write them a note. But she didn’t expect their response.
We’ve all had to put up with it at some point, but one woman made the courageous decision to send her neighbours a note over their very distracting sex noises.
Not knowing exactly how her letter was going to be received, the woman made a conscious effort to word it politely, while also offering some advice.
“Hey, I would greatly appreciate it if you guys would separate [your] bed from the wall,” she wrote.
“It’s becoming an everyday thing and it’s very hard for me to sleep with that noise … Thx, your neighbour.”
She shared her handwritten note on TikTok after becoming fed up with her neighbours having (loud) sex four days in a row.

In it, the woman signed off with two kisses, while also clarifying that the “noise” she was referring to was “moaning” and the sound of the headboard banging against their shared wall.
She then slipped the note under her neighbour’s door hoping they would just tone it down in future, but to her surprise they went one step further.
After she returned from walking her dog that same day, she found an apology card on her doorstep – along with $US50 Starbucks gift voucher.
“I apologise for the inconvenience, I will do a better job at managing my volume,” the neighbour had written. “Thank you for your discretion.”
The woman’s clip about her neighbours’ unexpected response and gesture has been viewed more than 220,000 times.

“Wow super chill neighbour,” one TikTok user wrote. “Love the mutual respect here!”
“The good vibes from the card are sending me, I love you both,” another gushed. “It’s incredible!”
Meanwhile, a mother was left in hysterics after her daughter received a note also asking her to tone down the sex noises.
The woman, from Sussex, took to Twitter last week to share the letter, which asked her daughter to put something between the headboard and the wall after several neighbours claimed they could hear “sexual” noises at all hours of the day and night.
The letter asked if she would be able to make “less noise” because her neighbours found it “extremely embarrassing”.
However, the mother revealed that not only does her daughter’s bed not have a headboard, but she has been recovering from back surgery, with the “moaning” as a result of her pain.
The full letter read: “This is a rather delicate matter but I have been asked to approach you as you are disturbing your neighbours with what sounds like noises of a sexual nature which they can hear quite clearly day after day, in the morning and in the evening.
“Also, what sounds like the headboard banging against the wall.
“They would all be most grateful if you could put something between the headboard and the wall and also make less noise as they find it extremely embarrassing.”
“As you can imagine, this is not a letter I relish sending but feel that you maybe are not remotely aware that you can be heard. Should you wish to contact me, please don’t hesitate.”
The baffled mother shared the letter to Twitter under the username Delirious_Dater and was quick to clarify the truth.
“My daughter got a complaint letter from her letting agents. She said she might frame it!”
“To be honest there is no accuracy about the letter whatsoever! My daughter had back surgery two weeks ago and doesn’t have a headboard.”
Her post has since been inundated with comments from Twitter users in hysterics over the note.
“You can just imagine the various conversations that have gone on between the neighbours and the agent and then the people in the agency who had to right [sic] the letter …! I’m sure they’ve got it posted on their office wall,” one person wrote.
“OMG that’s amazing … Must admit if I got that I’d use it on a dating app profile,” another person added.
