Video of pigeons feasting on toppings in Sydney Crust Pizza store goes viral
A less than 20 second video of a pizza shop in Sydney has been viewed by almost a million people – for one gross reason.
A video of pigeons flapping about among the toppings at a Crust Pizza shop in Sydney has gone viral.
Charles Spalton posted the footage of the birds helping themselves to a feast at the Neutral Bay store on TikTok, generating more than 950,000 views.
The door to the shop was left open and no employees could be seen in the clip.
People took to the comments to share their disgust.
“Never eating crust pizza again,” one person wrote.
“That’s my last crust order, ever!” added another.
“Why don’t they have a cover on the other side and close it when they’re not busy?” asked a third.
Some others found the funny side.
“Damn! I wish I could get free food. More power to these pigeons. They’re living their best lives,” said on.
“I’m just so happy for the pigeons honestly,” agreed another.
When A Current Affair visited the store, the franchise manager said the pesky pigeons were often outside and they had to keep the door shut to keep them out.
He explained after the pigeons got in, they threw the food away, sanitised the area and had to “start again”.
He said they had notified the council of the issue.
