Teen became a millionaire at age 10 reveals life isn’t that great
A teenager who had become a millionaire by the age of 10 has revealed that her life isn’t as great as it seems.
A teenager who had become a millionaire by the age of 10 has revealed that her life isn’t as great as it seems.
Isabella Barrett, 17, shot to fame at just five years old, as a contestant on TLC’s Toddlers and Tiaras.
She performed in beauty pageants across the US, and then spent her tween years modelling for brand such as Toys ‘R’ Us, Bergdorf Goodman and American Girl, The U.S. Sun reported.
At the grand old age of nine, Isabella set up her own jewellery brand Glitzy Girl, which made her one of the youngest self-made millionaires in the US.
And now, as she reaches her 18th birthday, she has found success as a model, and through launching her own clothing line.
Isabella, who has recently purchased a new Lamborghini, told Truly: “What I love about being a millionaire is that I’m able to get up and travel anywhere I want in the world — and [the] friends I get to meet.
“It’s opened many opportunities for me.”
However, the model revealed that her life isn’t always as glamorous as it seems.
Isabella recently started dating YouTuber Gavin Magnus, who has over seven million followers on the video sharing platform.
The couple have begun creating online content together, which has helped to boost Isabella’s profile online.
However, she revealed that having a partner in the spotlight can sometimes be tough. She told the US Sun: “Keeping things private when you’re constantly in the spotlight is tricky.
“Public relationships like Justin and Selena’s or the Kardashians’ can get complicated.
“You have to navigate everyone having an opinion about your personal life.”
“But being with Gavin means having someone who truly understands the pressures, the challenges, and everything else that comes with living life under intense public scrutiny.”
Isabella said that Gavin is always supporting her at her runway shows, and has even performed himself at her House of Barretti New York Fashion Week event.
She said that the pair “give each other strength where it counts.”
However, she added that being in the relationship has been “overwhelming” a times, as both of their mothers are keen for them to stay together.
Isabella knows that her mum just wants what is best for her though, as she knows that her daughter has struggled in the past with being in toxic relationships.
She added that she is grateful to the support of her mother, as she has found it hard to make friends that aren’t constantly jealous of her.
Isabella and Gavin plan to merge their strengths for more collaborations in the future, such as jumping back into the realms of reality TV.
And when they’re not working together, the couple enjoy being “typical teenagers” by going out for food with friends, and zipping about in Isabella’s “exhilarating” Lamborghini.
