Stabbing victim Teagan Moore holds baby son Nixon for first time since alleged attack by Jason Greatbatch
A MONTH after her boss allegedly flew across the country to attack her with a knife, Teagan Moore has been reunited with her son - in terrible circumstances.
THE Queensland mother allegedly stabbed by a bakery owner from South Australia has been reunited with her 10-month-old son, with the two “able to hold each other properly for the first time’’.
Teagan Moore, 21, remains in hospital in Brisbane after her former boss Jason Wayne Greatbatch allegedly flew to Queensland in December and attacked her and her fiance at a property in Kuttabul, northwest of Mackay.
She has been visited in hospital by her 10-month-old son Nixon, who was in her arms when the attack occurred.
Family say Nixon fell asleep in Ms Moore’s arms after the two were reunited.
Donna Meyers, the mother of Ms Moore’s partner Jake Burgess, said the young mother was fighting to recover to be with her son.
“Teagan’s doing really well,’’ Ms Meyers said.
“She’s in a lot of pain obviously and is traumatised by the incident ... but she’s fighting (to recover) to be with her son. That’s her main focus.
“Jake (on Saturday) uploaded a photo on Facebook showing Nixon and Teagan sound asleep in bed together in hospital.
“They were able to hold each other properly for the first time.”
Greatbatch, 35, was extradited to Queensland following his arrest at Adelaide airport and has been charged with attempted murder, enter dwelling with intent, acts intended to disable and assault.
The case is due back in Mackay Magistrates Court on Thursday.
