Melania and Barron Trump’s high five fail is one for the history books

THERE is one incredibly awkward moment from the coverage of Donald Trump’s inauguration that you may have missed.
But it’s well worth your time, because it beautifully sums up the clunky nature of the day’s proceedings.
Behold, one of the greatest high five fails in history, between Melania Trump and her 10-year-old son Barron:
Sheesh. It’s bad, isn’t it? There are so many layers. It’s hard to work out who came off worse.
First point of business for President Trump should probably be to Make America Great (at high fives) Again.
Another moment that was spotted by eagle-eyed viewers was Barron snatching his hand away from Melania when she tried to hold his hand — which, to be fair, every child has done at a shopping centre at some point in their life.
This moment came just after he was spotted yawning during the President’s swearing-in ceremony.
There is no doubt about it — Barron has other places he’d rather be ...
Twitter users were quick to jump on the entertainment Barron was providing.

As someone who once was a ten year old, I can confirm that #BarronTrump is thinking of a hundred things he would rather be doing right now

It is the second time Barron has been snapped struggling to stay awake at one of his father’s events.
He was caught trying to catch a few zzzzs during Trump’s acceptance speech in November last year.
Barron had further bad luck with high fives later in the day, when he was left hanging by an infant. Which is pretty brutal because high fives are pretty much the only thing they know how to do.
