An Australian influencer has sparked concern from followers after posting a video of herself crying on a Mykonos beach following her split with her boyfriend.
Mikaela Testa – who is best known as being an OnlyFans creator – confirmed her breakup recently from long-term partner Atis Paul after rumours circulated online they’d gone their separate ways.
In the aftermath of their separation, the 22-year-old has been travelling overseas, most recently sharing a video on TikTok as she sat by herself on the idyllic Greek beach on Friday.
“I have always wanted to come here but it’s just the fact I am alone,” she said, auidibly sniffing.
“For the past three years all I have done is neglect my friendships and my family. Stepping out of a relationship, I realised I don’t have anyone.”
Mikaela said she had only put effort into relationships with Atis’s family and connections.
“I only have myself and it’s so confronting and scary. I feel like it doesn’t matter where I’ll be in the world, I will always be looking for happiness and I just won’t be able to find it because I haven’t been looking for it in myself,” she said.
She added it was a “light bulb moment” for her that, even though she was in a relationship, she should have been taking care of herself as well.
“Somebody could walk out on you and you will have to fend for yourself,” she said.
Hundreds of Mikaela’s fans have showed their concern and support, with some making videos.
Jessica Laing, fellow influencer, posted a clip where she wanted to “check-in bestie”.
She said that breakups were hard enough without it being public.
“I know you don’t have a lot of family support, but just know everyone is thinking of you,” Jessica said.
Others have taken to the comment section to show their support.
“Sending you the biggest and longest hug, you sweet soul,” one person said.
Another wrote: “I love you babe, sometimes being alone is exactly what we need.”
Many offered words of advice.
“You still have time to make new friendships and nurture the ones you put on the back burner. Some people don’t ever come to this realisation,” one person said.
Another added: “Never seen such a vulnerable side of you. I have an entirely new respect for who you are as a person. I hope you feel better; this is very relatable.”
Many said they felt similar when getting out of long-term relationships.
While Mikaela had initially been less forthcoming about the breakup – only telling her fans at the time that their supportive messages were making her “so emotional” – she offered more detail in an Instagram Q&A on Monday.
Asked what happened between the pair – after dating for more than three years – she declared they “will always be in love with each other, we never stopped”.
“Nothing bad happened. It’s just life getting in the way and certain things we want/need in life,” she said, before telling her followers: “That’s enough Atis questions please.”
Mikaela said the couple “will never be together again but we will always support each other and we ask our supporters to love us as separate people”.
