Alix Earle’s time at Alex Cooper’s Unwell Network has ended amid rumours of a feud between the two stars.

A recent Variety report, citing sources, revealed that the Unwell Network, founded by Cooper, 30, host of the Call Her Daddy podcast, has dropped Earle’s Hot Mess podcast.

According to the publication, the Unwell Network has relinquished all rights to Hot Mess, allowing Earle, 24, to pursue new opportunities.

Ads for the podcast will also be discontinued.

The Unwell Network is a subsidiary of Tending, a media company established by Cooper and her husband, Matt Kaplan.

Earle, who recently made headlines for her steamy cover shoot for Sports Illustrated, joined the Unwell Network in August 2023 and was among the first talents to sign on.

When she came on board, Cooper said she was “honoured to be at a place in my career where I can pass along knowledge and advice for a new generation of creators to flourish”.

The show covered the influencer’s life, including friendships, family, relationships and travel as well as listener dilemmas.

Her latest episode, titled ‘I Slept with My BF’s Brother’, dropped last week.

There hasn’t been any comment from either Earle or Cooper regarding the future of Hot Mess.

Fans have been speculating that the two influencers may have been slowly falling out, after Earle was noticeably absent from an Unwell Super Bowl party in New Orleans earlier this month.

Social media posts from the event featured Hallie Batchelder, the host of the Extra Dirty podcast, alongside Grace O’Malley, who joined the Unwell Network in December after departing from Barstool Sports.

At the same time, Earle was in New Orleans, sharing TikToks about her experiences, including having dinner with her boyfriend, NFL player Braxton Barrios, and socialising with friends.

She also went to the Super Bowl.

The social media star has also hinted at “career mistakes” on her podcast recently but didn’t go into detail.

Eagle-eyed fans also spotted that Cooper had stopped promoting Earle’s podcast on social media, instead choosing to platform other shows in the network.

In a December 2024 episode of Hot Mess, Earle’s father, TJ, implied that his daughter had a disagreement with a business partner.

During a segment, he mentioned that he often has to have “hard conversations” with people who underestimate his daughter and had to recently intervene in a “business situation” on her behalf.

On Reddit, some have theorised that the dispute may be about money, while others suggested Earle should have stayed independent instead of joining Unwell.

“I think it was dumb for Alix to be under unwell. She was thriving and popular. I think she downplayed herself by joining Unwell and should’ve started her own thing,” said one. “But I do understand the viewership that Alex must’ve brought”.

Earle gained fame on TikTok through her candid “get ready with me” videos and currently has over seven million followers.

If the feud is true, it’s not the first time Cooper has had a falling out with a colleague and friend.
