A note left on a car in an apartment building car park has sparked anger, with many declaring the vehicle should be towed.

One social media user took to Reddit’s Mildly Infuriating thread to share an image of a car with a note on it.

“Text and I will move my car. Thanks,” the note read.

The Reddit user revealed that a random car keeps parking in different assigned spots in their apartment building, and putting the note on the car.

“What’s crazy is that there is so much street parking they could be using instead,” the Reddit user declared.

Social media users were quick to lash out at the owner of the car who keeps parking in other people’s spots and demanding they text them.

“Just have them towed … Then text them afterwards to tell them they were towed,” one social media user suggested.

Another user suggested: “Could you imagine if you could just park anywhere anytime for life by leaving a note in your windshield? Could you imagine how entitled and shameless you would have to be? This person needs a reality check.”

“Our landlord lets agents showing units in the building, park in reserved spots. They don’t park there long enough for the tow truck to get them, but it still sucks if I have to wait 15-20 mins for them to move,” another complained.

However, others pointed out this was not uncommon practice in some parts of the world.

“That’s pretty common in other countries. They leave a little note like, ‘I’m near-by, I promise I’ll move my car, please call me’,” one said.

Another added: “Yeah I saw this a lot in Malaysia. It was super common and I just kept thinking how this wouldn’t fly back home.”

Others said at least the owner of the car left a note.

“Everyone is just saying tow them. but I think this is rather polite compared to not leaving a note. I work in property management and sometimes I have to use parking spots for specific jobs, I wish it was that easy to get people to move their cars,” one said.

Another said: “Seems kind of them to leave a note, no? A lot of (people) wouldn’t post (anything)… just park and leave. Maybe you can ask them why they’re parking there and come to a good resolution?”

The Balmoral Beach note, taped onto not one but two tables in the area, lit a fire under Sydney beachgoers after it was posted online.

Earlier this month, a simple note on a picnic table at Balmoral Beach, in Sydney’s northern beaches, sparked outrage with many calling it “unacceptable” behaviour.

The message said; “Reserved 31/8 from 1pm.”

One local took to a community Facebook group to share their disbelief, posting a photo of the sign with the caption, “Really? Love to know where you place the official booking. Both tables ‘reserved.’”

Reserving a picnic table at Balmoral Beach through Mosman Council or any other means is not allowed.

One commenter said the brazen move was downright “unacceptable”.

“That photo should be the dictionary example of entitlement,” they wrote.

“Yeah, nah. Can’t reserve public tables. You want it, put the effort in and sit there the whole day from 8am,” another chimed in.

“Pretty sure the English did the same about 240 years ago but they used a flag, cannons, and muskets,” one other wrote.
