A popular Aussie entrepreneur has shocked fans with news of her break-up, claiming that she discovered a day after moving in together her boyfriend had cheated on her.

Lucy Jackson, who, along with Nikki Westcott, is the co-founder of fashion label Jagger & Stone and the co-host of the Happy Hour podcast, detailed the “cooked” situation across three TikTok videos over the weekend.

The 34-year-old initially sparked suspicion something had gone awry when she posted a cryptic clip captioned: “looking for a roommate”.

She followed it up on Saturday with a lengthy explanation, confirming that she and her ex-partner had ended their relationship.

“When it comes to social media I’m not a big oversharer of the intricate details of my private life, but I feel like this particular instance could potentially be helpful for someone else who might be going through a similar thing,” Jackson said.

“I won’t go into the intricate details now about what happened, but I found out on Wednesday night after we’d gone out for dinner that I’d been cheated on … What the hell! I never thought I’d be 34 and get cheated on by a bloke that draws.”

Jackson said it was particularly sad because “I was just so ready to have my person”.

“This happened at a really interesting time in my life,” she said in another video.

“We had literally just told each other that we loved each other, like, a couple of weeks ago.

“He moved in on Tuesday and I kicked him out on Wednesday.

“It’s really weird because, especially probably about two weeks ago, I had a really big moment where I felt like, wow, I really, really love (him) and I’m so excited for our future together.

“I haven’t had that feeling in years. The timing is just so crazy. But I’m really glad that I know now, and honestly, things could’ve been so much worse.”

The couple had only recently returned from a lavish European holiday together.

Reflecting on the trip on an episode of her podcast (prior to their break-up), Jackson said he had changed her perspective on love.

“I was a bit of a pessimist when it came to being in a relationship. I kind of was like, scorned,” she told Westcott.

“I was very much in my masculine energy, and was just kind of protecting myself. And (he) came along and was just, like so available and so nice and so lovely.”

She joked that he had been “too available”.

“I was like, why won’t this boy ignore my texts? … Why is he so good at communicating?” Jackson said.

“And ’cause he’s moving in now, I kind of was like, this travelling together will be a test.”

In her TikTok videos, Jackson pleaded with her followers not to go on the warpath against her ex, who has since deactivated his social media.

“I don’t want anyone to write nasty comments about him. He’s gotta deal with his own actions himself,” she said.

“Moving forward, if everyone could just kind of … I want to focus more on my feelings rather than his, (or) getting worried that he’s getting bullied. Let’s keep it nice.”

She repeated the appeal again on Monday, asking people not to “reach out to this man or say nasty things”.

“That’s not what this is about. This is just about me processing my own situation and what I’m going through,” Jackson said of her posting the videos.

“I won’t speak about – or to – any of his actions. I am just going to talk about me and my feelings.”
