Brittney Saunders goes viral for TikTok beach fail

Brittney Saunders had been trying to film a popular TikTok trend when her plans were brought undone – and it was all captured on camera.

Influencer's hilarious beach fail

Let’s face it, we’ve all felt personally victimised by the surf at least once in our lives.

For most of us, being dumped by a wave at the beach might only be witnessed by a few onlookers – but one influencer managed to hilariously capture the whole thing on camera for a now-viral TikTok.

Brittney Saunders is an influencer and businesswoman who owns brands Fayt The Label, Staple Swim and Form Active from Newcastle, NSW.

In the video a bikini-clad Brittney had been filming herself emerging from the water for the TikTok “I am woman” trend, where women show themselves in different poses where they feel good about themselves.

But Brittney’s attempts were thwarted by a wave, which crashed into the unsuspecting influencer and knocked her clean off her feet.

Brittney tried to get up again, only to lose her footing once more, leaving her once again in the surf.

Seeing saw the funny side to her video fail, Brittney posted the video to TikTok with the caption: “Nailed the trend if you ask me.”

The video has since gone viral and got more than 6.8 million views, with TikTok users losing it over the footage.

“The waves had an agenda, I can’t explain it,” one user commented.

“The way the co-ordination of the waves looks like a personal attack,” another person wrote.

“The beach chose violence in that moment,” one wrote.

“Girl what did you do to that wave? It was out for revenge,” another joked.

The video went viral, with some viewers arguing it was the perfect advertisement for Brittney’s bikini label, Staple Swim. Picture: Instagram/Brittney Saunders.

But others pointed out the video fail was the perfect advertisement for her bikini label Staple Swim, which Brittney had been wearing in the clip.

Her bikini had managed to stay steadfastly in place despite the aggression of the waves – no easy feat women who watched the video agreed on.

“At least you know those bathers hold up in any terrain,” one pointed out.

“This is the advertising we really need,” another person commented. “Looks great, stays put during an attack scenario.”
