Britain’s heaviest man has died a week before his 34th birthday, his devastated mother has revealed.

Jason Holton, who weighed an estimated 50 stone (317kg), died last Saturday after doctors were unable to prevent his organs from failing, as reported by The Sun.

His mum Leisa kept vigil by his bedside at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in the English town of Guildford, where he was transferred by special ambulance to which six firefighters carried him.

“He’s probably had about eight lives and I thought the doctors would be able to save him again, but sadly it wasn’t possible,” the 55-year-old said.

“He was put on his kidney dialysis and an IV drip but his kidneys weren’t working.

“The doctor told Jason he’d pass away within a week as his organs were failing.

“Jason soon started to go downhill.”

The coroner’s report stated he died from organ failure and obesity.

Mr Holton became the UK’s heaviest man after 65-stone (412kg) man Carl Thompson died in 2015.

He began overeating as a teenager while grieving his dad’s death.

Mr Holton then made headlines in 2020 when he was winched from his flat by crane to be taken to hospital after his organs began to shut down.

Mr Holton, who hoped to be prescribed the weight loss injection Wegovy, could not walk and lived in bed at his home in a Hants village.
