‘Are you kidding me?’ Brothers debate on best supermarket
The comedic duo from South Australia sparked intense debate after having different opinions on the superior supermarket.
Two brothers have sparked debate on which Australian supermarket is the best, getting into heated argument on the topic.
Lachlan and Jaxon Fairbairn, both from South Australia, butted heads on whether Coles or Woolworths was the better supermarket.
The comedians, who often post on TikTok, amassed three million views on the video as hundreds of others had their say.
The skit featured Jaxon coming home from doing the grocery shopping and asking Lachlan for help bringing it in.
When Lachlan looked up, he appeared outraged when he saw his brother with a Coles bag rather than a Woolies one.
“Yes! How did you not know. I’ve literally always shopped at Coles,” Jaxon asked, outraged, before asking what was wrong with the supermarket.
“It’s like a barnyard, last time I was in there someone barked at me,” Lachlan shot back.
The skit continued on with the brothers debating which was the superior supermarket.
Jaxon said Coles had “banging” tiramisu while Lachlan said Woolworths mud cake was superior.
“That’s a f**king lie and you know it,” Jaxon shot back.
Other points of debate were the rewards systems, cleanliness, colour of the store to even the advertisements put out by the store.
The video’s comment section exploded as social media users gave their own opinion on the issue.
“Woolies is the best when I started shopping there I became a better version of myself,” one said.
Another said if customers wanted a bargain they should head to Aldi.
One said: “I have a Coles and Woolies directly next to each other and I always pick Woolies. It’s just more pleasing to the eyes inside.”
Another said: “Try the Coles ultimate cookie from the bakery they are banging.”
One said: “I don't know about you guys but I really like IGA.”
Another said: “Is this like a Lidl and Aldi type thing?”
