Shoppers are obsessed with a $15 item from Kmart, which comes in five colours, and has been labelled a “dupe” for a $70 item.

Aussies 'obsessed' with new Kmart dupe

A $15 drink bottle from Kmart is setting social media on fire, with many rushing into stores in a bid to get their hands on it.

Kmart is selling the 1.18L Jumbo Tumbler with Handle for $15, which comes in white, green, blue, pink and black.

Many social media users are comparing it to the Stanley Quencher tumbler, which holds the same amount of liquid, and retails anywhere between $70 and $89.95.

TikTok user @mariamgarrad_b got her hands on four of the colours, saying once she found out Kmart was selling “Stanley dupes, I had to check it out myself”.

“There was only one pink one left at my Kmart, and it was $60 for four. Less than the price of one Stanley,” she said.

She said the bottles were a nice weight and felt strong – but did warn that it was difficult to find a tumbler without a scratch on it.

“Go get yourself one from Kmart before they run out,” she said.

Another TikTok user, @cocobod, said that Kmart had “done it again” and why would people spend the money when there was a $15 alternative.

“You can call me tight … but totally worth it,” the video was captioned.

Social media users were eager to get their hands on the item, with one saying; “I am drinking out of one right now.”

Another commiserated: “I can’t find them online or in store.”

“I put ice in mine this morning with water at about 7:30am this morning and I still have ice in it now. Transaction approved for everyone,” another said.

A Kmart spokesperson told news.com.au the tumbler had just landed in stores.

“The 1.18L Jumbo Tumbler has just landed in stores in a range of colours and is already very popular in our Kmart community,” the spokesperson said.

“Drink bottles have become a go-everywhere accessory and are a great way for our customers to inject some personality and colour into their day to day.

“At $15 each, they also represent great value for our community. Keep an eye out for the 1.8L Jumbo Tumbler landing in fresh colours throughout the year.”
