A Melbourne woman who placed an online order with the retailer was shocked to find two surprise items in her home delivery — along with a note.

A Woolworths shopper was blown away to find an unexpected item in her home delivery order.

The Melbourne woman took to Woolies official Facebook page to thank the retailer after she discovered a bunch of flowers and box of chocolates while unpacking her goods.

“Oh my god this is the cutest thing ever!!” she wrote alongside a photo of the sweet gesture.

“Please pass on our thanks to the Woolies Thrift Park team!! They are seriously the best.”

There was also a note attached to the surprise treats which read: “Congratulations on your 100th order!” it read.

“Thank you so much for continually choosing us to be your personal shoppers! Have a great night and stay safe!”

Woolies also responded to her Facebook post thanking her for her kind words.

“We’re glad to see that our Thrift Park Team made your day with a little surprise for being the 100th order,” they wrote.

“We shared this with the Store Management Team and we’re sure the team would be happy to hear about this. We hope you have a lovely weekend.”

Another customer also shared a photo of a block of Cadbury she unexpectedly received for placing her first online order with the major supermarket.

“Woolworths — This was an exceptional bit of customer service. A really nice surprise when it had been a tough week and a bit of chocolate went a long way to making my morning! Thank you personal shopper!” she wrote.

The kind gestures customers are sharing is part of the retail giant’s Good Acts program which encourages team members to look for opportunities to help brighten a shopper’s day.

“We try to bring a little good to our customers every day through our Good Acts program.

From handwritten notes to flowers or a box of chocolates, our teams like to go above and beyond for our customers to make their shopping experience extra special,” a Woolies spokesperson told news.com.au
