Good news for the Morcombe family as son Bradley announces baby news

AFTER 12 years of agony, the Morcombe family finally has something to celebrate.
Bradley Morcombe, the twin brother of murdered Queensland schoolboy Daniel, is expecting his first child.
The 25-year-old, who married his high school sweetheart Anna last year, told The Australian Women’s Weekly he was “ecstatic” at becoming a parent.
“It’s something we have dreamed about for a long time,” he said.
“But for me, there’s not a single day that I don’t think about Daniel. I know that Daniel is still with me, in my heart and in my thoughts. And he always will be.”
The new addition will be Bruce and Denise Morcombe’s first grandchild.
The parents, who have campaigned relentlessly for justice for Daniel since he was abducted from a Sunshine Coast bus stop in 2003, have previously spoken of how proud they were of Bradley and older brother Dean for achieving life milestones such as jobs, partners, and purchasing their first homes.
Last week saw the Morcombes close a distressing chapter in their lives, ending a years-long legal process that has finally seen Daniel’s killer jailed for life without appeal.
Murderer Brett Peter Cowan’s last-ditch appeal bid to the High Court was rejected on Friday with the three-judge bench finding there were insufficient grounds for it to reconsider his conviction.
Following the decision, Mrs Morcombe said she was glad the court process was finally over.
“Our family look forward to a happy future,” she said.
