The hilarious American man decided to live tweet his teenage stepson’s attempt to hide a girl in his room overnight.

A dad has live-tweeted his stepson’s hilarious attempt to sneak his overnight visitor out of the house and people are loving it.

“How will he sneak her out when everyone’s awake?”

Our story starts the night before, when the dad realised his teenage stepson wasn’t alone in his room.

But the fun really kicked off the next morning, when the now sleep-deprived man realised his wife had no idea her son had a girl with him upstairs.

“I’m curious on how he plans to smuggle her out now that the whole family is awake,” he wrote on Twitter.

“Now we wait.”

And wait we did, with the post quickly wracking up nearly 80,000 replies and 380,000 likes, while the oblivious wife started her usual Saturday morning clean.

Surely it was only a matter of time before she notice the white runners by the door?

“No one in this house would have all white shoes,” he said.

Then the girl makes an appearance... and things get scandalous

As his wife continued cleaning, the step dad was preparing to make lunch when things upstairs took a turn for the scandalous.

“OMG OMG OHHHH MY GAWDDDDDDD. SHE CAME DOWN TO USE THE BATHROOM,” he updated.

“IT’S ONE OF HIS CLOSEST FRIENDS!”

Somehow the wife didn’t notice the girl sneaking up the stairs — which left the stepdad to vent his feelings online.

“I think they might be waiting it out,” he said.

Young love always finds a way

The answer came a few minutes later when the boy nonchalantly strolled downstairs and collected the white shoes.

“Side eyeing me the whole way past,” the stepdad wrote.

“I shot him a little wink.

“They gonna hit that side door I bet.”

Sure enough, as mum lay down for an afternoon read, the side door slammed.

“That’s a wrap folks,” he said.

“Looks like young love finds a way, for now!

“I don’t know about you but need a drink after that suspense.
