Model Krystal Hipwell shares real pregnancy photo on Instagram

In two photos the former reality star shared just how easy it was to hide any perceived pregnancy “flaws” depending on how you posed.

Former Big Brother star Krystal Hipwell has called on pregnant women to “challenge our own minds” about their bodies when pregnant.

Hipwell (nee Forscutt) is 21 weeks pregnant with her third child and revealed in an Instagram post how easy it was to hide any perceived “flaws” depended on how you posed.

In the first photo she posed side on with her baby bump on full display, while in the second photo she posed with her arms across her stomach and back to the camera.

“Pregnancy can look very different depending on what we choose to focus our attention on,” Hipwell captioned the photos.

“We have a choice to either fixate on the ‘flaws’, the changes our body is going through that maybe aren’t as welcomed as others OR we can choose to take the good with the not so good and shift our focus to the amazing transformations our body is going through."”

Instead it was important to thank your body for “being such an incredible vessel that can create and carry life”.

“Let’s challenge our own minds, let’s take on those silly thoughts we all have about ourselves at times and drown them out with gratitude because after all, just because something isn’t ‘perfect’ does it really make it any less beautiful?” Hipwell wrote.

Hipwell called on other women not to focus on any pregnancy ‘flaws’.

Hipwell’s post struck a chord with other women who praised her for “keeping it real”.

“So beautiful and so well said it’s incredible what our bodies can do,” one person wrote.

“Beautiful mumma, our bodies are so amazing and what a blessing to grow a little soul inside of us,” another person commented.

“Our bodies change and do what they need to – to nurture and create something so magical.”

“I’ve just hit 34 weeks with number two and the fluid retention, bigger boobs, cellulite and feeling extra large has certainly thrown me out of whack this week,” one woman wrote. “So incredibly grateful to be able to carry this little one though; it’s so worth it.”

Hipwell rose to fame appearing on Big Brother in 2006.

The model turned personal trainer is already a mother to son Sunny and daughter Nakoda.

Hipwell rose to fame after appearing on Big Brother in 2006 when she was 19 and went on to model in the years that followed.

She is now a personal trainer and married to builder Neil Hipwell. The couple have two children together, Sunny and Nakoda.

During a 2018 interview with Channel 7’s The Morning Show Hipwell opened up about how she had two miscarriages while trying for her second child.

The former reality star said she had decided to share her story in order to break the taboo surrounding miscarriages so “other people don’t feel so alone”.

“I unfortunately had two miscarriages in the space of 17 months when we were trying for our second,” she said.

“And I found at first, it was a really lonely process with the healing. And it was part of my healing process to actually talk about it, sharing my story, also in the hopes that others might feel in their situation, a little less lonely.”
