Most popular baby names of 2021 for girls and boys revealed
From Emma to Olivia, Lucas and Levi – the most popular names from around the world have been compiled for 2021.
When it comes to choosing a name for your baby, there’s literally millions of options.
But it turns out that from country to country around the world — many people opt for the same name.
BabyCenter announced the top 100 baby names of 2021, and while there’s plenty of Muhammads in the UK and in India, there’s also a stack of Emma’s in Germany, Canada and the USA.
Website BabyCenter has compiled a list of the best baby names from around the world, from information that comes directly from parents.
According to the website, “hundreds of thousands of parents” took part in the poll and submitted their children’s names, so the site can create a list of trending names from each country.
While expected names like Emma, Sophia and Noah all made the list — BabyCenter also included various versions of spelling this time around. So for Jackson – Jaxon was also included as a variation of the name.
The website reveals names that end with the letter a continue to be a trend.

Around the world, things looked a little different. In India, Prisha Aadhya and Amyra were the top names for girls, while Muhammad, Aarav and Advik were the top.
In Germany, Hannah, Emma and Emilia were popular for girls alongside Matteo, Noah and Leon for boys.
In the US, Olivia, Emma and Amelia were the most popular for baby girls, while Liam, Noah and Oliver were popular for boys.
