I’m pregnant with 'spontaneous' triplets… people say I look like a penthouse

“Going from one kid to four was never planned or expected... the biggest difference here is just a longer stretch of the misery at the end,” Brittany jokes in the video about her enormous belly.

Being pregnant is no easy feat. With extreme changes to the body for months on end, baby bumps come in all shapes and sizes.

When American mum Brittany found out she was having triplets, she was more than a little surprised.

Brittany wasn’t expecting much when she found out. Already having one son, the “spontaneous” pregnancy was conceived naturally.

Little did she know how much her pregnant physique would turn heads.

The “spontaneous" pregnancy was “an absolute shock” to the mum

Finding out that her family-of-three would soon be six, she was “shocked” by the news.

“Going from one kid to four was never planned or expected, but I can't wait to meet my sweet angels,” she revealed.

Sharing her changing physique over the course of the pregnancy on TikTok, her bump kept getting larger and larger.

“It's a lot bigger this go around,” the mum laughed as she compared her enormous bump to her first pregnancy.

“Being pregnant with triplets means a longer stretch of misery at the end”

When asked about the struggles of being pregnant with triplets, Brittany explained that the differences weren’t too extreme from giving birth to a “singleton”.

“[The] biggest difference here is just a longer stretch of the misery at the end,” she joked to a fan.

Her TikTok account featured what a typical day looks like with a growing stomach, often showing the extreme lengths she would go to while doing basic tasks, like putting on shoes and brushing her hair, which often made her out of breath.

In one video, she explained that she would get ultrasounds regularly to check on the triplets.

“Triplets are very high risk,” she explained, meaning she had to get ultrasounds twice a week towards the end of her final trimester.

Brittany gave birth to the three babies in late April - Andee, Georgia and Theodore.

“They are all three healthy and doing wonderful,” she said. “Triplets are in the NICU on CPAP but no oxygen supplementation.”

“I didn’t realise a stomach could stretch that big!”

As her belly continued to grow, supporters commented how large she was getting.

“This looks so painful,” one shocked person said. “I didn’t know a stomach could stretch that big,” another exclaimed.

“I can't even imagine the back pain,” a person shared.

Some questioned how she could comfortably sleep, whereas others went so far as to compare her to a house. “That baby living in a mansion,” one joked. “Blue got a penthouse,” another remarked.

“I don’t know how you do it!” wrote an admirer. “It’s amazing what us women can do,” shared another.
