Secret Kmart trick will change the way you shop

A Kmart shopper has revealed the simple way to find out when an item is going to be restocked after an employee shared it with her.

If you’re a Kmart shopper then you have probably walked into your local store recently wanting to buy something, only to find it is out of stock.

The popular Aussie retailer is still facing a shortage of items with some shelves bare due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, a Kmart staffer has revealed the simple way you can find out when the items you want will be restocked.

A Queensland mum shared her experience after she visited her local store in Sunnybank Hills looking for sausage roll makers, sharing it on the Facebook group, Kmart Educator Hacks Australia.

She explained that when she couldn’t find the product she was looking for, she asked a staff member to look out the back for her, but she was told there were still none in storage.

That’s when the employee shared a very handy tip.

“He showed me the shelf sticker, and said it tells you when they may get some in,” the woman wrote.

“Look for the letters EDD (estimated delivery date) and the date is next to it. I assume that they may do this on all out of stock items.”

A Facebook member pointed out that the advice will save customers time.

“Thanks for sharing, saves time going back and forth checking if it’s in stock,” they wrote.

Many were blown away by the new information with others describing it as a “game-changer”.

“This is life-changing,” one person wrote.

“What an awesome tip for everyone!” added another, while a third said, “Kmart’s best kept secret!”

The code is apparently so secret even some of the store’s employees don’t know about it, Kidspot reported.

“Um I worked there & didn’t even know this,” the surprised worker said.

While another worker chimed in to say they knew all about it – and warned excited shoppers not to get too excited.

“As someone that works at Kmart, the EDD is a load of sh*t. Like it states in the name it’s an estimate so it’s never very accurate.”

Another person echoed those sentiment.

“Just keep in mind, it is an estimate.....not a guarantee. So please don’t blow up at the workers if it’s not in on that day.”
