Many retail giants, such as Coles, have given a glimpse at Christmas ranges in the lead up to the festive season.

Bunnings National Outdoor Lighting Buyer Rebecca Hevey said the retailer expects customers to go big with their decorating this festive season.

“With people finally being able to enjoy bigger get-togethers and more celebrations with friends and family, we’re already seeing an early rush on our festive range as customers get organised and start stocking up on all their decorations in preparation for the busiest and best time of the year,” she said.

In terms of trends for the year, Ms Hevey said that inflatables, solar options such as stake and fairy lights, as well as nutcracker figures will be extremely popular.

“For the Christmas fanatics who love going all out with their decorating, we’ve got some really fun new designs to create a wow factor this year, including some iconic Aussie additions like an inflatable BBQ Santa, koala stake lights and a festive Melbourne tram.” she said.

Ms Hevey’s top three tips for the season is to stick to a budget, have a plan and use your creativity.

In terms of creativity, Ms Hevey encouraged customers to look online for inspiration, with social media offering endless ideas.

Other tips includes taking on Bunnings’ DIY Christmas tree or creating your own mailbox for Santa.

Prices for Bunnings’ Christmas range start at $10.
