Kmart shopper discovers hack to keep bread fresher for longer

A Kmart shopper has found a way to keep bread fresher for longer, earning praise from those looking for ways to make their buck go further.

Shoppers are in awe of a hack intended to keep bread fresher thanks to one key product that costs just $15.

One Kmart shopper took to Kmart Hacks and Decor to reveal she was using the 6L Fridge Storage Container to keep her bread fresh for longer.

“Since using the veggie container for my bread it keeps twice as long,” the woman shared.

“Anything to save money these days.”

Followers of the group were “blown away” by the idea, with many keen to try it for themselves.

“Thanks, been tempted to buy Tupperware bread container. I love an excuse to Kmart shop lol,” one social media user commented on the post.

Another said: “Omg, gluten free bread always has stupid packaging, this would be so much better!”

Other savvy shoppers backed the original poster’s recommendation.

“I’ve been using mine like this for two years. I thought that’s what it was for,” one social media user said.

“Wow. they are fab for fruit and veg but never thought about bread,” one more weighed in.

However, one person issued a stark warning about the product.

“Just don’t put it through the dishwasher – it distorts the plastic so the lid wont fit properly,” they advised the group.

“Used to use it for bread … until I put it through the dishwasher.”

Ethan Williams, one of the Kmart Homeware Buyers, told news.com.au: “The Fridge Storage Container is part of our extensive fridge storage range that we have available online and in-stores.

“We know how much our customers love creating storage solutions for all spaces within their homes and the boat doesn’t stop at the fridge!
