Kmart releases new $25 sunset lamp controlled by iPhone
When Kmart customers find something they love, you can always count on them to make it known, and this item is no different.
Kmart shoppers have just spotted the retail giant's’s newly released ‘sunset lamp' — but it’s not just any lamp, it’s a ‘smart wifi LED’ light.
The $25 item only hit stores nationwide recently and it’s already got customers excited.
The budget-friendly device features colour-changing RGB LED, an adjustable head and remote control access via the Genio app — it means it can be controlled anytime, anywhere.
It is also sound sensitive and is fitted with ‘music activated light mode’ that changes colour based on a song’s rhythm and shoppers are losing their minds over it.
In a TikTok shared by Aussie influencer Bianca Lemos she tells viewers to “run” and not walk after spotting the gadget at her local Kmart store.
She then shows footage of what the lamp looks like in her room, activating different colours after connecting it to her smart phone.
“RUN don’t walk to your nearest Kmart for this Sunset Lamp,” she captioned the post.
Bianca’s clip has clocked more than 2.3 million views and thousands of comments from users eager to get their hands on the item.
“Shut up SHUT UP,” one excited TikTok user commented.
“I want one!!” another demanded, while a third wrote: “Shut and take my money.”
One person said they were so desperate to find it they were willing to “hunt down every Kmart” they know.
“Can we go and buy five pls,” one person wrote, tagging their mate.
“BRO KMART IS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER,” another keen user wrote.
“OH MY GOD I SAW THIS JUST NOW AND IM OUT FRONT OF A KMART,” added another.
One person explained that a customer had bought 17 lamps.
“I got up early to go get ONE & he told me that one person bought the last SEVENTEEN right before I got there !!!! Who needs 17?!” they said.
However, others weren’t overly convinced by the lamp’s calibre.
“I regret buying this,’” one customer wrote. “It doesn’t connect to the Wi-fi, it doesn’t connect to the app . absolute waste,” they claimed.
“The colours are too bright even when they’re dimmed.”
If you were hoping to purchase the item online, you can't — according to Kmart’s website, the desirable new product has sold-out, but you can still nab it in store, if there’s any left.
