Chantel Mila reveals her no-iron wrinkle solution
It can be one of the most time-consuming tasks around the home – but one mum has revealed the simple trick that helps her avoid it.
When it comes to home cleaning hacks Chantel Mila is an expert.
The Melbourne mum-of-two, who has more than 270,000 TikTok followers thanks to her home hack videos, says there is one tip that stands out among the rest.
Chantel swears by her DIY wrinkle relaxer spray, which she first shared in a now-viral video posted in February, that uses just three ingredients and costs next to nothing to make.
All you need is two cups of water, a “little bit” of white vinegar as well as a “secret” ingredient, Chantel told news.com.au.
“The secret is a little bit of hair conditioner so that helps the cotton fibres relax,” she said.

“(By) spraying a bunch of garments in the morning, flattening them and leaving them to dry just for five minutes, the creases naturally release.
“I use that nearly every morning because I don’t have time to iron every morning while getting two kids ready … having that in the cupboard has been a real game-changer.”
Just over a year ago, Chantel was like most of us – stuck at home in lockdown.
Realising that many other people were in the same boat, she decided to create a TikTok account in April 2020.
“That’s when I started sharing those home tips and tricks online and to create these either easier ways of doing things around the home or just ways to make the home a nicer space,” she said.
Chantel, who works as a property manager, had “always loved home interiors” even as a child.
“When I was a teen, I would always rearrange my bedroom and then go to my parents and (say), ‘Come have a look, new room new me,’” she said with a laugh.

Her account went viral after two of her cleaning videos too off “in a really short period of time”.
“One of them was the mattress cleaning video,” Chantel said.
“The other one was how to spa roll your towels, that one really took off as well – that one was on my husband’s birthday and I was like my gosh, my phone keeps going off.”
Since then her account has gone from strength to strength – her videos can get millions of views – with Chantel taking her TikTok account more seriously.
“Now I’ve dropped down my hours as property manager to spend more time on the page and to dedicate more time to answering those audience questions and working with brands,” she said.
Chantel uses eco-friendly products like white vinegar heavily in her cleaning videos, with bi-carb soda something she uses “all the time”.
One of the brands Chantel is now working with is Woolworths Macro Whole Living which is a range of laundry, kitchen and cleaning products that are synthetic fragrance free as well as being grey water and septic tank safe.
“We’ve got two toddlers. It is important to have those safer alternative when cleaning around them – particularly my daughter who is prone to asthma,” she said.
The Marco Whole Living Living range is available now in Woolies stores across the country as well as online.
