Big W has dropped an extended range of plush animal ottomans

Shoppers are losing their minds after Big W brought back its popular piece of kids furniture — in two adorable new designs.

Parents lost their minds over Big W’s plush kids animal stools last year.

The $49 ottoman caused chaos among shoppers as they scappled to get their hands on one of the trendiest seats in town.

Fast-forward six months and the Aussie department store has caused the same hysterical reaction by adding two more furry faced creatures to the popular kids range.

As of this week, shelves of Big W stores across the country will be stocked with the new lion and cow designs as well as the other six animal-themed ottomans.

Upon hearing of the latest additions, a dedicated fanpage, BIG W Mums Australia, erupted with excitement as ottoman lovers tagged one another in a frenzy.

“I feel like this needs to be in Leo’s room,” said one woman as she tagged her friend.

“OMG! So cute!,” another said, while one person suggested they needed one “at work?”

“OMG I AM GETTING THESE DON’T EVEN FIGHT ME,” a third declared as she too tagged her friend.

Big W category manager Monique Yourallis said the retailer decided to expand the range because of its popularity.

“Customers have previously requested a cow option, and we’ve heard them loud and clear,” Ms Yourallis told news.com.au.

“We’ve also added a lion option to jump on the trending theme of kids jungle rooms, with the new Lion King movie coming out soon. Last time, the triceratops and unicorn sold out within four days, so we expect stock to move quick.”

When Big W released its staple elephant ottoman in 2018, it sold out within weeks of being released.

Since then, it has added — a sheep, pig, sheep unicorn and dinosaur — that have also proved to be just as popular.

Fans of the items love to share snaps online, showing the unique pieces of furniture in their homes.
