$99 viral Kmart item that shoppers adore

A cleaning product, which has previously been compared to the Bissell version which can retail for $219, has gone viral.

A $99 item from Kmart has gone viral as some claim it is better than an item that is double the price.

Kmart’s Spot Cleaner is available in store and online in Australia and New Zealand. The item allows shoppers to clean upholstery.

The cleaning product, which has previously been compared to the Bissell version which can retail for $219, first went viral in October 2023 but a new video has drawn users into the hype once again.

Tayla Brett took to TikTok to share a video of herself using the $99 item after a caramel latte was spilt on her car seats.

“The devil works hard but my $99 Kmart spot cleaner works harder,” she said as she demonstrated the product that sprayed, soaked and vacuumed up the stain.

Social media users were impressed with the device.

“Looks like it works better than the Bissell spot cleaner,” one social media user commented.

Another said: “I waited MONTHS for this and it was SO worth it. Best purchase EVER.”

Others weren’t as impressed, with one social media revealing; “Mine broke after the first use. The bottle you put water in is all cracked. So disappointed.”

The Spot Cleaner first landed in stores in July 2023.

“Since its launch, it has been super popular with our customers because it helps to solve a common cleaning problem for a great everyday low price,” a Kmart spokesperson told news.com.au.

“We’re thrilled that our customers are enjoying the product, and love seeing the cleaning inspiration videos come to life on social media.”

It’s not the first time social media users have raved about the product with TikTok user @threeriverscleaning reviewing the spot cleaner in 2023 and said it looked good for its price, adding it came with attachments and a three-metre cord.

One TikTok user, known as @jenjoojoo, said she’d seen social media videos comparing the $99 Kmart item to one from Bissell.

“The video won me over so I went and got it. I think the only difference is the Kmart nozzle is smaller,” Jen told her followers.

Other social media users were equally impressed with the find. They said they had been eager to purchase the cleaner but hadn’t been able to find in store or online.

“That’s if you can get a hold of it. been waiting nearly a month for it to come in stock again. Our couch needs a clean,” one social media user commented on the clip.

Another shared their own experience using it, revealing; “OMG I did my car mats and the water was filthy really dark. I was like love the spot cleaner,” another said.
