A mum’s clever hack for easily removing price tags from new items without leaving residue is going viral on TikTok.

A woman has revealed her mum’s hack for removing annoying price stickers in seconds and it’s blowing people’s minds.

Taking to TikTok, Lexie Byers revealed how to simply “wax it off” without peeling with your nails or leaving any residue on your product.

Captioned “HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS?” the video has gone viral with more than 1.4 million likes and 4.6 million views.

“I have a life hack that’s going to blow your mind. Well, it blew my mind,” Ms Byers said in the video.

“My mum taught me this a couple of days ago. Mums know everything.

“So I bought all these tumbler cups and I was going to stick them in the dishwasher.

“But each one has a tag for the barcode under it, and they’re actually pretty hard to get off, or are they?

“Anything with a sticker tag STOP PEELING IT OFF.”

Simply attach sticky tape to the sticker, leaving it half on and half off for grabbing...

...Then lift it clean off in seconds.

Ms Byers then revealed how you can banish shop stickers for good using nothing but some sticky tape, which you probably have in good supply after Christmas wrapping.

“Grab some tape, get a piece maybe this big, take your piece and stick half of it onto the tag and rub it so it’s really on there,” she said.

“Make sure to leave a little bit of a tail, then you wax it off. Then you can peel it off and do it all over again. Brilliant.”

She then shows herself removing the tags from multiple cups with ease.

The stickers simply lift away, leaving no residue.

Impressed viewers piled on the praise in the comments section.

“You’ve probably saved billions in lost time,” someone said, while other remarked: “The amount of hours that I’ve sat going to WAR with these.”

Others wished they’d learned the tip sooner, lamenting: “All my candles with half ripped tags on them.”
