Taking to popular Facebook group Kmart Hacks & Decor, several social media users have shared their take on the hack.

One social media user said she had to wait months to finally try it, due to low availability of the laundry hamper online and in stores.

“Laundry hamper to bin hack – FINALLY! Waited ages for it to come back in stock,” the woman wrote on the Facebook group.

“Painted to match the island and added new knobs.”

She isn’t the only one who undertook a complete overhaul of the cabinet in a bid to make garbage disposal easy on the eye.

One woman completely redesigned the hamper so it blended in with her kitchen bench, popping it to sit under the tabletop.

She spray painted the cupboards nacy, changed the handles to brass and used Kmart’s faux marble laminate for the top so it matched the rest of her kitchen.

This particular hamper also fits two bins, and has been styled to blend into the home by using a plant and a mirror around it.

Social media users have been left enamoured by the act, with one person calling it a “bloody good idea”.

One person commented: “It’s a sign I need to move into a bigger house. Simple as that.”

“I love it. I added new handles too. They match my kitchen cabinets. Everyone who sees the cabinet wants one. Best hack ever,” another said.
