US doctor Mary Neal claims spirits sent her back to earth, predicted the death of her son

A DOCTOR in the US says she’s been to heaven and back and that spirits predicted the death of her son. He was dead 10 years later.

A DOCTOR in the US claims she has been to heaven and back and that there’s “no earthly equivalent”. But the tunnel of light thing? She said she didn’t see one.

Dr Mary Neal, an orthopedic spine surgeon with a background in science, said she met her angels after “drowning” in Chile in 1999. During the incident, Neal was submerged for a full 12 minutes. She was without oxygen for 24 minutes and a friend described her condition as “blue, waxy, no heartbeat, cold to the touch”.

“They had physical form. They had heads, arms, legs and were wearing sort of robes,” Neal told “believer” Jonas Elrod in a new series on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

Dr Neal was kayaking in southern Chile with a group of friends when she became trapped at the bottom of a waterfall. Her friends tried frantically to save her before she returned to the surface after 12 minutes.

It is a miracle that Dr Neal suffered no brain damage but the greatest miracle of all, she said, was being taken to heaven and returned to earth.

So what was heaven like? “The senses were different, the beauty was incredibly intense,” she said. “There is no earthly equivalent.”

“I was in a hurry to get to this big, domed structure of sorts,” she says.

“There were many spirits inside, and when I arrived, they were overjoyed and welcoming me and greeting me, and really joyful at my arrival.”

Dr Neal, who wrote a book about her experience, said she was told it wasn’t her time.

“I did what I think any reasonable person would do, and I said, ‘No, I’m not going. You can’t make me.’ And they said, ‘Well, you are going, and we will take you back, and here’s some of the work you have to do.’”

“I was taken back down this path and was reunited with my body,” she says. “They told me a little bit about this mandate to share my experienced with other people.”

Frighteningly, she said the beings told her that her eldest son would die. After 10 years, he did. A driver, distracted by his mobile phone, struck him with his vehicle.
