Pip Edwards reveals her fertility struggles

Influencer and fashion mogul Pip Edwards has gotten candid and honest and revealed a personal struggle she is facing.

Fashion mogul and influencer Pip Edwards has opened up about her fertility struggles.

Edwards, 42, already has 17-year-old son Justice with her ex-husband, Ksubi fashion designer, Dan Single.

However, she’s revealed that she’s only recently learnt she’d struggle to have more children.

Ms Edwards was only 39 when she realised she was pre-menopausal, she started having hot flushes and was eventually diagnosed.

When she went to the doctor, she also discovered her egg count was meagre. She’d never completely ruled out having more children, so the news shocked her.

Edwards told Mamamia: “I was like, ‘You know what? Yeah, maybe I did want to have more kids.’ Maybe I didn’t. Maybe it was dependent on the partner that I met. It was about having the choice.”

However, when Edwards decided to look into freezing eggs, the option was snatched away from her because it was during the height of the pandemic.

Elective surgery was put on hold and egg freezing is considered elective.

While Edwards admitted she wasn’t sure if she could even “imagine” having another child, especially as her son is headed into adulthood, she did acknowledge she still felt like she had to mourn the option.

Edwards explained it stemmed less from her immediate desire to have another child and more from the idea of the option no longer being so easily on the table.

“Not because of the desire to have another kid, but just that I wasn’t prepared to not. I still actually think about, what if I meet the man of my dreams, but a big part of his dream has children. What does that conversation look like?” she explained.

Ms Edwards honesty comes after a very public year.

She was famously dragged into her ex boyfriend’s Michael Clarke’s scandal when he was filmed having a public argument with his girlfriend Jade Yarbrough, who accused the former cricket player of sleeping with Edwards.

“It is definitely not my circus and I would like to say the carnival is over,” Edwards told The Herald Sun.

Ms Edwards later revealed the hardest thing about the scandal to Stellar.

“The hardest thing was the distraction … It’s just not relevant.

“There are bigger things that are more concerning, that have more meaning, that should be talked about other than the circus that was.

“It took [the focus] off the bigger picture of life and what’s actually real – and that’s my business, and work, and my son,” she said.
