‘COVID Karen’ yells and uses arm to enforce social distance at Jamberoo Action Park
A woman filmed yelling at children and using her arm to enforce two metre social distancing has earned herself the nickname “COVID 2.0 Karen”.
A woman has earned herself the unfortunate title of “Karen COVID Marshall” while having a day out at the amusement park.
The woman was waiting in line for a ride at Jamberoo Action Park on the NSW south coast, and didn’t want anybody breaking social distancing guidelines.
In a video shared to TikTok, the woman was seen sticking out her arm, and telling off passers-by as they walked too close to her.
“This is for social distancing. You walked into it,” the woman yelled at one unsuspecting person who touched her arm.

Her friend agreed, chiming in, “That’s disrespectful. You ran into her. You weren’t watching where you were walking.”
The girls filming were laughing loudly throughout the video, captioning it “Karen 2.0 the COVID marshal”. Karen is a term used to describe people who are prone to complaining to the manager, or acting overly officiously in public spaces.
The clip has gone viral on TikTok where it’s been viewed more than 47,000 times and attracted more than 100 comments.

Many TikTok users were confused about why the woman, who appeared concerned about coronavirus, wasn’t wearing a mask.
“Complains about social distancing but isn’t even wearing a mask,” one woman commented with a laughing emoji.
“Where’s Karen’s mask though,” another asked.
“If you’re that scared of COVID just don’t go out. Let the rest of us live our lives,” another said.
“Cack, at a water park in a pandemic and thinking a hand out will save you,” another joked.
