CONNIE Johnson has revealed she can’t walk and finds sitting up difficult. But the inspiring mum-of-two still found positives amid her long fight with cancer.

CONNIE Johnson has shared the heartbreaking reality of her fight against terminal cancer, revealing she can’t walk, has lost her bodily function and finds sitting up difficult.

The sister of actor Samuel Johnson posted in the Love Your Sister Facebook page on Tuesday that she was “feeling cheated out of those normal daily experiences”.

“Lately it’s been hard for me to find the positives,” she wrote.

“I have been mourning the loss of lots of my bodily function. I can’t walk anymore. Breathing has become difficult with the swelling of the liver. Sitting up is difficult with the swollen abdomen. Eating has become a bit of a chore rather than something pleasurable and I have been feeling cheated out of those normal daily experiences.”

The cancer research fundraiser, mum-of-two and founder of Love Your Sister, has entered hospice care and is “actively dying”.

But despite her long battle with breast cancer, Connie remains positive and says there are things to celebrate.

“Today I realised that I still have my mind, there’s no cancer there,” she continued to write in her inspiring post.

“I still have my hands and my arms for hugging my children, I still have eyesight for seeing my friends, I still have my hearing for lovely conversations and music. I still have a couple of hours a day when I can do my craft. These are things to celebrate, I just feel so wonderfully happy.”

Earlier this week, Johnson posted photos to Instagram of her final days in hospice.

In one of the photos Connie can be seen with a friend and is surrounded by colouring-in therapy books.

The photo has been liked more than 9000 times and has been met with a flood of positive comments.

“Beautiful smile as always,” said one supporter.

“I have so much love for you and Connie,” said Instagram user krystalmichelle1211.

“The courage you both continue to show and the empire you both have built is beyond words.

“Connie and Sam you have truly touched my heart and even though I feel overwhelming sadness I see the fight in both of you and that is inspiring.

“You are both so lucky to have each other and the bond you share. Sending you both so much love, strength and positive vibes.”

Connie Johnson has terminal breast cancer.

Many people offered their heartfelt thanks to Connie for dedicating so much of herself to the hunt for a cure.

“You’re amazing Con! Thank you so much for being so selfless and spending so much of your precious time raising funds for research, you’ve made a difference gorgeous girl,” Michelle said.

“Connie, you have raised awareness and grown a village that will support you during the hardest walk that you both are travelling,” Christine wrote.
