The McDonald's meals we don't get in Australia
CHEESY chips, beer and deep-fried brie nuggets. These are the things found at McDonald's around the world you wish you could try.
CHEESY chips, beer and deep-fried brie nuggets. There are plenty of weird and wonderful items served at McDonald's restaurants around the world.
Australians might be proud of their McOz, but dairy lovers may be feeling a little cheesed off over Japan's latest addition to its menu - cheesyfries.
The thing is, the cheese doesn't come freshly grated or on the side - it is squeezed straight from a packet.
That's right just like tomato sauce.
Feeling hungry? These are some other interesting items to appear on McDonald's menus around the world:
Bacon and Potato Pie (Japan)
Yep, it sounds and probably tastes just as it reads. And not only is it deep fried but full of cheese too.
Chocolate and Orange Pie (Asia/UK)
Just like its savoury cousin above, this deep-fried treat is not for the faint-hearted. Just imagine you're eating a deep-fried Jaffa and you're probably there.
Seaweed Shaker Fries (Asia)
You'd be hard pushed not to find a lover of hot chips, but what if it was covered with some seaweed flavouring?
McAloo Tikki Burger (India)
India's answer to the McOz. This patty, made up of potato and chickpeas is topped with tomatoes, onions, and tomato mayonnaise.
Croque McDo (France)
A global favourite, France has cashed in on something it does well - cheese.
McKroket (Hungary/The Netherlands)
It's not just a burger, it's fried pastry filled with stew and sandwiched between a bun.
Brie Nuggets (Russia)
Deep. Fried. Cheese. What else is there to say?
McBeer
This is readily found on European menus including Germany, Italy and France, but there is little chance of Australians seeing this universally-popular drink in our stores anytime soon.
