A marinated pork product sold at supermarkets in all six states has been urgently recalled because of an “undeclared allergen”.

The NSW Food Authority on Friday announced the recall of Hanabi Marinated Pork Bulgogi 290g from Coles and Woolworths stores.

The food watchdog said the recall was due to the presence of an “undeclared wheat/gluten allergen”.

Produced in Australia by Oriental Merchant Pty Ltd, the marinated meat is commonly used in Korean cooking.

Any consumers who have a wheat or gluten allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed, the recall notice states.

Products with the best before dates May 23 and June 6 2024 are impact by the recall, with consumers eligible for a full refund.

According to the recall, the marinated meat was sold at Coles in NSW, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, and Western Australia.

It was also sold at Woolworths stores in NSW, QLD, and VIC.

The Woolworths online store currently lists the product as being “out of stock”.
