Foodies go nuts for tiny new dessert cafe serving Australia’s most epic Freakshow milkshakes

FOOD porn alert: you won’t believe these milkshakes are real. And you won’t believe where in Australia you can find them. And yes, Nutella is involved.

AUSTRALIA’S home of porn, politicians and, well, not much else, is staking its claim in a much sweeter arena: mind-blowing milkshakes.

Pâtissez, a small 52-day-old cafe, is putting Canberra on the map as a dessert mecca as foodies go bonkers for their decadent creations.

And it’s their too-good-to-be-true milkshakes, dubbed The Freakshow, that are very quickly charming the hungry eyes of sugar-lovers — so basically, everybody — the world over.

The Pâtissez Facebook page already has nearly 10,000 likes and many shining reviews.

Anna Petridis and mum Gina, who appeared on My Kitchen Rules this year, are co-owners of the eclectic eatery, and they very aptly wrote that “the words ‘Canberra’ & ‘boring’ will never be used in the same sentence ever again.”

The fantastic four ... In another angle, because yum.

They explain on Instagam that each element of their Freakshow treats are house-made and with the extensive queues, they stress there is a limit on how many they can serve up each day, usually selling out by the afternoon.

“With the shakes, a lot of love and care go into putting each one together so please be patient,” they wrote.

“We always make sure each one is perfect before we send it out.”

There are currently four different flavours — Salty Nutz, Muddy Pat, French Vanilla and Nutella & Salty Pretzel — with promises of more to come soon. And we can’t wait to see what they come up with. The age of the epic shake has begun.
