Woolworths shopper‘s unexpected find in pack of jam drop biscuits
A Woolworths shopper has shared her hilarious discovery in a pack of fresh biscuits after picking them up from her local store.
A Woolworths shopper has taken to TikTok with the hilarious discovery she made in a pack of fresh biscuits she’d purchased from her local supermarket.
Sharing the find to the social media platform, @alwaysinmydressinggown said she was left surprised – and amused – when she took another look at the tray of jam drops she had picked up from the grocery giant.
As most biscuit connoisseurs know, a jam drop typically features a single, large dollop of jam in the centre of the biscuit.
But one Woolwoths bakery worker seemingly had other ideas – taking a bit of creative licence when whipping up the batch.
Instead of the customary blob of jam, one of the biscuits featuring a sad face made out of sticky sauce.
“Clearly someone hates their job,” the TikToker said in the clip.
The discovery comes after Woolies stunned shoppers with news of another “decadent” treat – a new Rocky Road version of their beloved Mud Cake.
Featuring a raspberry-flavoured chocolate cake, the limited edition dessert – which costs $5.50 – is topped with chocolate ganache, marshmallows and shredded coconut. It hits shelves nationwide from June 1.
Woolworths category manager for bakery Chris Chase told news.com.au in a statement that the store “wanted to create something exciting that combines our popular Mud Cake with a much loved Aussie treat”.
“We know our customers look forward to the limited edition Mud Cake flavours we sell every year,” he said.
“The result is a decadent Mud Cake that has sentimental meaning to Australian households with the scent of raspberry and coconut topped with marshmallows, combined with the rich, chocolate flavour, reminding customers of a decadent Rocky Road dessert.”
