Woolworths brings back cheese advent calendar for Christmas 2020
Woolworths has brought back its hugely popular advent calendar, but get in quick as it sold out in just three weeks last year.
Now this is an advent calendar we can get around.
With the silly season just weeks away, cheese platters are going to be on high rotation. But if you take your cheese more seriously, Woolies has the perfect product.
The 12 Days of Cheesemas advent calendar features a dozen European mini cheeses all delectably hidden behind a different door.
Cheese inside the calendar includes Red Leicester, Double Gloucester, Jarlsberg and good old smoked cheddar.

But cheese lovers should get in quickly if they hope to get their hands on the calendar, with it selling out nationally in just three weeks last year.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing back the 12 Days of Cheesemas Advent Calendar following such a positive response from our customers last year,” Woolworths category manager for speciality cheeses Annabel Yum said in a statement.
“We’re also launching our biggest ever selection of Christmas cheeses as more Australians plan to celebrate and entertain from home this year.
“With exclusive ranges from iconic Australian cook, Maggie Beer, and the Thomas Dux brand – there’s something for every household budget and cheese lovers’ pallet.”
Woolworths expects to sell a whopping 8.1 million cheeses for Christmas this year, a projected 30 per cent increase compared to 2019.

Woolies isn’t the only supermarket selling a cult Christmas product for the adults, with Aldi bringing back its hugely popular booze-themed advent calendars.
As part of the German supermarket’s Christmas range which hits stores on November 11, there is a 24-pack beer advent calendar for $64.99 and a 12 days of ‘craftmas’ pack for $39.99.
There’s also a 12-pack gin collection for $59.99 and a 12-pack gin liqueur option for $49.99, both ideal for counting down those final few days before Chrissy begins.
“The countdown to Christmas is on and to help customers celebrate the festivities, ALDI is toasting the season with the return of our grown-up advent calendars, crackers and liquor gift packs – perfect as a gift for someone special, or as a gift for yourself,” Aldi Australia spokesman, Nicole Higgins, said.
