A woman who shared footage of her huge grocery stockpile after converting her spare room to a giant pantry has copped flak online.

Hilarious note targeting panic buyers goes viral: ‘Morons like you’

A woman has sparked a divide online after she shared footage of her stockpiled haul.

The Coles and Woolies shopper, from Western Australia, uploaded a video showing how she converted a spare room into a space filled with extra goods.

“Turning our spare room into a store room,” the woman wrote alongside the clip, adding the hashtags “rearranging”, “be prepared” and “need another shelf”.

She bought the bookshelves from Kmart for $49 and filled them with things such as dish soap, body wash, toilet paper, laundry powder, disinfectant wipes, among various other pantry staples such as canned goods, pasta and long-life milk.

“Don’t come at me,” she added in the TikTok post.

However, while many commended her impeccable organisational skills, others were left triggered by her overhaul.

“Be prepared? I’m not being mean, just genuinely asking,” one person wrote, while another added, “Be prepared for what? The supermarkets don’t close, even in lockdown.”

The woman then responded she is “aware” major grocery stores are open, adding: “This is for my own personal preparations. I’ve just escalated from a jammed pantry to a spare room turned into my own personal storeroom.”

The woman explained she lives in a small rural area “so when cyclones, lockdowns etc happen, we have enough to give our neighbours”.

She said she doesn’t panic buy and just purchases one or two things extra whenever an item is on sale.

Many applauded her actions saying it is a “great idea” and that it’s “good to have a backup supply of food”.

“Especially during this time,” the person continued.

“Very clean and organised, good on you sister, each family’s wants are different and that’s OK,” another person added.
