Royal Tour Day 2: Meghan baked a loaf of banana bread at Admiralty House

YOU’D think after a day of schmoozing strangers all day Meghan would just want to put her feet up and relax last night. But instead she was slaving away on this thoughtful gift.

Royal Tour Wrap: Day Two

ANY normal person watching the first day of the royal tour yesterday would have felt one overwhelming emotion — exhaustion.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent what felt like 47 hours dashing all over Sydney shaking a million hands and pretending to be charmed by deaf old ladies and sweaty schoolchildren.

A newly pregnant Meghan spent all day on her feet and probably just wanted to go home to lie on the couch in front of The Block.

But instead, she was apparently slaving away in the kitchen at Admiralty House in Kirribilli baking banana bread.

Meghan brought the homemade loaf in her hand luggage on the plane ride to Dubbo from Sydney this morning, to serve during the couple’s visit to the regional NSW town.

After feeding some cattle and hugging an adorable little boy, she had tea with a local farming family, the Woodleys.

According to one reporter who tasted the bread, it contained chocolate chips and ginger (?!) and tasted “rather nice”.

It’s unclear whether Meghan actually baked the loaf herself or whether she got one of her assistants to do it for her.

The Woodleys showed the Duke and Duchess around their farm and talked about the effect the drought has had on their land.

The Duchess is rocking a more low-key, practical look today for her and Prince Harry’s visit in Dubbo.

She’s wearing jeans from Aussie brand Outlander, a white shirt from Maison Kitsune, boots from J. Crew and a jacket from her friend Serena Williams’s collection.
