Krispy Kreme gives free doughnuts to people celebrating birthdays in lockdown
Finally here’s some good news with the doughnut chain giving away freebies all day today — but there’s a catch.
Today is a good day.
Do you know how I know this? It’s because Krispy Kreme is giving away free doughnuts to a special number of us — and chances are either you or someone you know will be able to redeem the sweet offer.
If you were one of the estimated 4.5 million of us who had to celebrate a birthday during lockdown (and no, Zoom parties don’t count as celebrations) then you’re eligible for a dozen of Krispy Kreme’s original glazed doughnuts FOR FREE.

All you have to do is bring photo ID showing your birthday is between March 13 and July 13 and you’ll be able to redeem them.
It’s while stocks last, but with Krispy Kreme giving away more than 350,000 doughnuts today it's safe to say there’s plenty available.
Krispy Kreme Australia CEO Andrew McGuigan said the offer was being made today to mark the doughnut chain’s 83rd birthday.

“From toilet paper presents to zoom parties to less-than-impressive cakes, there’s no doubt birthday celebrations have been lacking these last few months,” he said.
So, we’ve decided to share some joy with all those who missed out, with our biggest doughnut giveaway to date.”
Sadly the offer is not available in Northern Territory and South Australia stores or via food delivery apps, 7-Eleven, Jesters or BP travel centres.
Due to restrictions in Victoria the doughnuts will only be redeemable at the drive-through of Krispy Kreme stores in Fountain Gate, Fawkner and Bulleen.
Krispy Kreme also has another offer running from Wednesday until Friday where you can buy one dozen and get another dozen doughnuts free.
